Independent conformity assessment built around competence, consistency and impartiality.
LMS was established internationally to provide certification and technical assurance services across management systems, inspection and related compliance disciplines. The South African operation brings that model closer to organisations operating locally and across Southern Africa.
Our role is to assess conformity objectively and communicate certification outcomes clearly. We work with organisations of different sizes and sectors, from growing SMEs to complex multi-site operations.
Audits should be assigned to competent auditors with sector and standard knowledge appropriate to the scope being assessed. Auditor competence, independence and conflict-of-interest controls are central to credible certification.
LMS Certification South Africa is committed to conducting certification activities impartially and to identifying, analysing and managing threats to impartiality. Commercial, financial or other pressures must not influence audit findings or certification decisions.
Certification personnel, auditors, technical reviewers and decision makers are expected to disclose conflicts of interest and avoid assignments where independence could reasonably be compromised.
The final wording of this policy should be aligned to the approved LMS management-system documentation and the requirements of the applicable accreditation scheme.
